Animation/connections?

Question
ok, so I'm having an odd problem... I'm creating a girl from a cylinder; everything seems to go fairly well, but every now an then two points just won't connect. (Edit poly, select 2 verts, hit "connect") This usually works, but sometimes it just won't. Backing up a few steps and redoing usually fixes the problem, but this is very time consuming... any idea why verts randomly decide to not connect for me? Thanks for your time! -ben

Answer
Hey Ben,

I'm really not sure of the answer to this question. I've never had that problem.  I guess one reason is that I've never used a "connect" modifier at the vert level.  When I use connect, it is under the COMPOUND OBJECTS section, and basically creates a "bridge" of faces between the open areas of two objects. If this is what you are refering to, it is good to try to keep the number of verts on both objects near each other.  Some times I do end up with a small hole or gap where it didn't completely surface the area, but it usually can be fixed with a "cap hole" modifier.

If this doesn't help, give me a bit more info, if you can, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Cheers,
Andre
