hi! cud u plz help me out in making a red cricket ball in 3d max?...i think texture holds the main key to it..so if u can either send me the texture or help me makin it wud be highly appriciated..

I just need you to send me a picture of a cricket ball...(I don't know what one looks like.  I would rather walk you through the settings so that you will get a better feel for how to create a material.  Post your e-mail address, and then I will shoot you an e-mail, so that you can reply that way. Also let me know what version of Max you are using.  I don't believe that there are many changes regarding materials between versions, but I'm not sure...
