Animation/reflection of a texture in viewport

Question
hello
When I add a "texture" into the "Reflection" part of a material, the result is seen only in rendering. But I want this option to be seen even in viewport - like of what we have relfections in the games on the bodies of cars. What shall I do?

Answer
Hello,

Sorry, but to my knowledge, you can't do that.  Video games are running on a real-time render engine, that is the equivalent of rendering what takes you 5 minutes to render, in literally split seconds.  The architecture of 3Dmax is not designed with realtime effects rendering in mind, although it can be used to create game content.  I am not too sure of of many design sofwares that are.

If you want to check out a program that may be capable of what you are asking about, do some searches on "Tsunster" or "3d max real time rendering"

I hope you find what you are looking for.

Cheers,
Andre
