Question
I am doing a project for school, and I chose the topic of manga. I have a few questions I would like to ask, since they are reqirements I need to meet for my project on Manga. Here are the questions that I'd really like you to answer for me:

1.What is the main difference between manga and anime?
2.How do people usually decide to do there eyes on the manga character? (Maybe to match their personality...?)
3.How long has manga been around for?
4.Why is manga so popular?
5.What makes manga so hard to draw?

Answer
Sure I'd love to help ^_^

1. Manga is drawn and Anime is animated. You can consider manga what comes first before being animated in most cases.
2. Many Manga-ka(Manga authors) have many different drawing styles. It's all about preference really. Though, in most yaoi mangas, the eyes are drawn softer. While in Shoujo manags, only the girls mostly have the softer look.
3. For this answer in major detail, check out the website:

4. You might say it's an evolved comic book phenomenon. Personally, I think that people that, like myself, that were into anime, gaming, etc. for more than 15 years, just naturally delved into it. If you're interested in Japan, it's games, it's history, you kinda fall into it's culture as well. Video games are a sort of gateway to that, because for most of the younger generation, that's what exposed them to Japan culture in the first place.
5. Manga is different from comics. Comics are hard enough in themselves, but drawing manga, or the fan-mangas known as doujinshi, take a real patience, a kind hand, and a lot of talent.

I hope this has been helpful to you ^_^
