Question
Dear Kai,
A few years back I saw a movie on tv in which descendent of a person got a galaxy map in a ring which was important for something that I don't remember.Well that guy is unaware of that map n every willian in the movie is searching for the ring and the guy. But later the guy find outs the map. When the guy wore the ring the map apears in his plam this was the only thing I can remember. Well I really liked the movie but forgot to look for the name while commercial. Movie was intresting and well directed. Movie has some romantic angle and advnetures too as they wonder around the corners of the universe.
Please help me to locate the title as soon as possible.

Thanks n Regards
Gulshan Mathur

Answer
Hello,

You might be referring to the movie Titan A.E. , a futuristic setting about a guy named Cale traveling the universe with this girl who has purplish hair? It is not an anime, but still animated.
A similar movie if you liked this one is Treasure Planet. There is no ring, but that is the only other one which comes to mind.

I can answer the "what should I watch/read next" type questions for most dubbed anime (and some subbed) as well as manga. However, I do not know of yaoi or yuri as I do not watch/read them. (I do know of a few shoujo/shounen-ai, but not much - if you would like to know, you can ask but do not expect much). Otherwise, I do not have a specific genre which my knowledge is limited. Concerning manga, I specialize in one shots, but I can talk about others. *Please note, I am only here to help you out with the given questions above. Questions about specific shows will not be accepted as they are often homework questions or ones that belong in fan-forums. If it is a general question concerning a genre of anime however, that is fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.*

Experience

I have watched (and have a record of)/began/know of a LOT of anime, mostly dubbed though as I like to multi-task while watching. That has not limited me on subbed however as I do occasionally watch those. I know a lot about most genres and am an unofficial anime/manga critic who is very picky about what "is good". I have also gone to anime conventions (cosplay included).

Education/Credentials
I discovered anime in high school and have started a chain reaction of the horrible anime-virus by introducing it to my friend...
