hello, ii have been trying to find out the name of an 80's cartoon i watched as a child but none of my friends, relatives, aquaintances, and even people on the street i ask can help me. the details...the show features 3 heroes each of which has a vehicle which combines with the other two to for a large plane/spaceship. the first vehicle (and i think the leaders) is a small shuttle that rests on the top, and to the rear of the second vehicle which is a quite large triangular profiled airship, this all the nests in to the third vehicle that moves along the ground on tank tracks, and splits into 2 halves along  its length to accomodate the larger vessel.

this is all the detail i can remember im affraid. if you can help me recall what the title may have been i will be eternally greatfull.

before I can help answer this question, I hope you don't mind if I ask a few more questions about what you remember of this anime

First, about what year do you recall, if you can recall, watching it in the 80s

and secondly, and most importantly, in what language did you watch it? was it in english, japanese, or other? and also where did you watch it? Did you watch it in the US in English?

These little details would help my search a lot, but if you don't recall, it just might take me a bit longer to search for it, but I hope I can still find it and help
