Question
I'm staying home from school around the year 1993-92.On KCal-9 a local station in LA they show an Anime block. Pokémon: Johto Journeys. (which i later find funny because that was in the mid 90's before there was even a WB network. and from what i understand The WB brought Pokemon to America. but the show was aired like 3 years before the network existed.) they al so had sailermoon and this ANime that i would like you to name for me.

Ok here the description; It stars a monkey who rides a cloud called nimbus (like the one in DBZ) he also has a Power pole( a la DBZ) and the power pole is just like the one on DBZ it grows both wide and long and is very powerful.  The monkey uses these tools to fight an emperor monkey who rides a flying fortress. and this fortress is destroyed buy this power pole welding monkey. Oh and there are also Dragon balls in this series the evil emperor had one and was using it for evil.

so when DBZ came out around 99-2000 i thought it was a ripoff of this monkey show. no one has ever heard of it and Google comes up empty.

What is the name of this show?

My only guess is a series called Monkey Typhoon

Otherwise I'm afraid I don't know of any series that fits that description.

I love anime, I've been a fan for practically all my life, and still going, I go to conventions, I'm on tons of forums and websites, I just love the world of anime and hope to gain more and more experience in it, and be helpful to others by answering quesitons.

Education/Credentials
Vice President of my High School Anime Club. Other than that, not really many classes on the subject. 5+ years of studying Japanese and 6+ years of going to Anime Conventions.

Awards and Honors
I've won a few awards for being top student in most if not all of my Japanese classes. Not really any awards in anime other than winning a few contests and giveaways.
