Only a doctor can tell you for sure whether or not you have done any damage.

Any damage that has been caused by purging tends to be correctable after you stop purging and eat a well-balanced diet.

The only damage that can't be repaired is the damage that you may have done to your teeth.  Purging causes erosion of the tooth enamel, and well that can't be replaced, just as your teeth can't.

Purging can cause really bad health complications in the long-term and it is important to avoid these!  If your teeth aren't enough to help you try to fight an eating disorder, then hopefully your own health and life should be!

Expertise

I am a medical student and have suffered from anorexia and bulimia myself, I am willing to answer questions based on my own experiences. My advice, however, should not be used as a substitute for that of a qualified medical professional.

Experience

I suffered from anorexia from the age of about 10. By the age of 13 I was suffering from bulimia. Now after 10 years of suffering from an eating disorder, I feel that I can say that I'm well on my way with recovery and would just like to be able to share what I have learned with those in similar situations!
