hi i am 22 and am trying to gain weight from 32kg to 40kg..... for my first
goal.......i have been eating 1,200cal and just this week have slowly upped each
day to 2,000cals ..... im wondering if its true i need more to put on weight and
than cut back to miantain? or if i eat the recommended cal intake now will my
bod just slowly get there?

Answer
Aloha congratulations on your courage and strength. I think it is important to maintain a reasonable eating pattern that you are comfortable with. As long as you are making great strides and you are, I think your body will be able to adapt better at a moderate intake. Be sure to get lots of vitamins and minerals and proteins so you have the materials needed in order to make muscle mass.
I hope that helps if you need any more help let me know.
