Question
hi im 15, weigh 38.5kg and am 5ft6 and i was diagnosed with anorexia 2 years ago, when my periods stopped. i personaly do no think i am anorexic as i eat A LOT OF FATTY foods and a take out about 3 times a week. however after eating any food i continuosly feel guilty and count calories. every morning just before breakfast i clean up all the house and, and after breakfast i think of ways to burn it off. i have recently done my gcses but i had to do them at home as i am not allowed to go to school due to the anorexia. me and my mum fight, swear and scream at each other every day. i want to get better but i dont want to become fat. i have not yet got back my periods and this is another concern as i am afraid that i may become infertile. i am petrified and despreately need help.
ps. i have been seeing an specialist eating disorder team for the past 3 years and they come to my house every day but they are not helping

Answer
Aloha, this is a huge struggle and one of the first things we do here at ALOHA HEALING WOMEN is that we start people on food combining because that takes the fear of food away. You will get the nutrition you need without retaining or gaining unnecessary weight, that is after you have returned to a healthy weight. Please go to my web site at http://www.healthretreats.info
and look at the food combining links, I also highly recommend our new book Healing What's Eating You which has the food combining in it plus tons of other helpful stuff and you can download it on your PC.

When you body deems you fit enough to procreate your periods will most likely return. Some anorexics take the birth control pill so they will get their periods and this helps keep those reproductive organs at least working.
You need to find out WHY you eat or don't eat the way you do, otherwise you will be just going around in circles.

I do phone counseling too, for those who can't come here. At least you are trying and you are aware that there is a very serious problem. That is a good sign.  If you need to contact me you can use the e-mail on my site. Plus we have some informative youtubes you might want to look at. http://www.youtube.com/user/revkeala

Good luck to you, I send you my prayers for recovery. ALoha Keala
