Question
i have suffered from bulimia for around 5 years and my parotid glands have been really swollen and sore.
could this be because of my disorder??
is there anyone i can get them removed or make them go down quicker??
thankyou for your help, my doctors have not been helpful at all on this topic for me and I'm getting desperate for some answers,
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks

Answer
Yes, the reason why your parotids are swollen is because of the vomiting. They can get better if you stop vomiting. I don't think you are going to find anyone that is going to remove your parotids unfortunately. you could try an ice pack after an episode of purging, but I think the best answer is to get some help for your disorder and when you stop purging, over time the swelling will go down.
