Question
Hi i have been anorexic for 1.5 years about 4 months ago i almost died and it scared me enough to try and get help although i did relapse and now i am anorexic and i have bulimic tendencies at least 1-3 times a week. For some odd reason i always check my heart rate after a purge im a little paranoid and its usually at 103-106 is that high is that enough to have a heart attack? In general i am very scared and would like to get help but very afraid to fail again.

Thanks

Answer
Having a heart rate of 103-106 is too fast you'll throw your heart rate off which can result in a heart errythmia which means your heart beat pattern is off. Your heart rate should be 56-85 beats per minute. You'll go into cardiac arrest with a heart rate over 100 beats a minute. You have to get help before this causes serious problems. You can't fail this time it's necessary to get help because anorexia can be life threatening if not treated immediately.
