Question
I developed anorexia about a year ago. Within a year I have lost and then gained 50 pounds. I am 5'10 and very athletic. I have alot of muscle mass and have my whole life. I played basketball in college last year but had to quit due to weight loss. I have now gained back all of my weight and then some. I got my period back about 35 pounds ago and I cannot seem to quit gaining. I try to eat a certain amount of calories a day but I find it difficult because I feel hungry all the time. I will get sweaty and tired if I dont eat a lot. Also, all of the weight I have gained seems to be cellulite. I have never had it before and there is a layer of cellulite all over my body. I was just wondering if this will go away or if there is something I can do to stop my sweating and constant hunger.

Answer
Eating disorders can throw off your body's hormone levels and that's the time you address this with your doctor and get a referral to an endocrinologist to have tests run to find out the exact cause of your excessive weight gain. My thing is that the constant deprivation of nutrients from your body the body will compensate that by either gaining or losing weight. I would make an appointment to the doctor and also ask for a referral to an endocrinologist.
