Hi, I am writing a piece on anorexia in the 21st century and focusing on the
effect Pro Ana sites have.
I wanted to know if they are a trigger to developing anorexia and do they
hinder recovery?
Any other thoughts you have on the subject would be great.

Anything that is pro is for it and yes it can be a trigger because they also provide dangerous information on how to progress the disease. This is how many girls end up bulimic if what they're doing isnt working and this does harbor a full and complete recovery. Anorexia is a gateway disease to other eating disorders such as bullimia and binge eating disorder.
