Question
hi i'm 14 years old and suffered from anorexia-recovering now.

i have huge binges as i recover some days up to 10k calories. usually 4-7k??

i have some huge huge fears about gaining weight.

1) will my metabolism recover
2) i've heard that fat cells multiply during puberty. since i'm still a teen then won't i increase the amount of fat cells by alot if i continue bingeing and eating so so much?
3) will my 'set point' have change prior to anorexia?
4) will the bingeing ever stop?

thanks!

Answer
These are questions you want to take up with your doctor because some of these are medical questions that only a doctor can answer. I would also look at an outpatient treatment program so you can begin to work on the issues at hand that's pertaining to your eating disorder.
