Question
What does 'force feed' mean? Solid food isn't shoved down an
anorexic's throat? Is it? I hope that never happens. If solid food is never shoved down an anorexic's throat, please tell me.

Does 'force feed' mean tube feeding someone against his/her will?

Answer
Doctors can order tube feeding if the patient is emaciated and they need nourishment, but they don't use solid food they use tube that is administered through the nose into the throat. A feeding tube can be put on someone if they're declared an emergency case to save their life. Doctors have to provide proof that the patient is in need of a feeding tube and that it's deemed necessary as a life saving means
