Question
Hi I am writing a paper on Anorexia and i need information on what they eat and drink. i heard they drink pinesol and stuff of that nature can you tell me anything on the subject?

Answer
I think that you may be better visiting some websites about Anorexia to find out answers to questions like this from anorexics.  Everybody will vary in what they eat and drink!  As a rule, anorexics tend to eat things that have a very low fat content, and low calorific value.  They tend to fill up on foods that contain a lot of water, so that they can feel full, without having all the calories that may go with that feeling.

As I have said, however, this is very unique to each individual.  you will get people that do eat nothing but a few pieces of candy a day, others that eat a small amount of bread, rics etc, and some that eat only fruit and veg.  Everybody will be different as everybody will view what is acceptable for them to eat differently!

Good luck with your research.

Expertise

I am a medical student and have suffered from anorexia and bulimia myself, I am willing to answer questions based on my own experiences. My advice, however, should not be used as a substitute for that of a qualified medical professional.

Experience

I suffered from anorexia from the age of about 10. By the age of 13 I was suffering from bulimia. Now after 10 years of suffering from an eating disorder, I feel that I can say that I'm well on my way with recovery and would just like to be able to share what I have learned with those in similar situations!
