Question
Hi Holly,
I am concerned about my thoughts on my weight! I know i am slim, however i feel reallllly guilty whenever i eat (especially bad foods. . . ) However the thing is, that i still eat it anyway, but lately i have had the feeling of throwing up after meals (i dont provoke this though) So yea, i didnt want to go to a doctor or something just in case this wasnt as bad as i thought, but i am worried that something may turn out serious. Also i have the urge to exercisse more and more now and feel bad when i am just sitting.
Thanks
Leah

I think that you should maybe go and speak to your Dr about these feelings, and ask to be referred onto a therapist that can help.

Although you may not be acting on these feelings just now, you should act before you risk developing an eating disorder.

If you are worried that this may become something more serious, it is definitely worth acting now, and any good Dr should be pleased that you recognised the problem before it became dangerous.

Please feel free to come back if you have any more questions.

All the best
Holly

Expertise

I am a medical student and have suffered from anorexia and bulimia myself, I am willing to answer questions based on my own experiences. My advice, however, should not be used as a substitute for that of a qualified medical professional.

Experience

I suffered from anorexia from the age of about 10. By the age of 13 I was suffering from bulimia. Now after 10 years of suffering from an eating disorder, I feel that I can say that I'm well on my way with recovery and would just like to be able to share what I have learned with those in similar situations!
