Question
Hi, my name is Serene Chong and i am a freelance writer in Brisbane, Australia. I am interested to write an article about eating disorders and was wondering if i could ask you to educate me more on this topic.
Do you think that the internet (proanorexia sites etc) play a big part in encouraging eating disorders to arise? I would very much appreciate all other information you are able to give me.

Thanking you in advance,
Serene Chong

Answer
Aloha Serene, I know that pro anorexic sites do so much harm, for it has a comraderie of them against us and lets try every way we can to stay true to our ( destructive) path.
Eating disorders are very difficult to treat, after three years I am now bowing out and searching for alternative venues that are not as stressful.
Each person is different, no two stories quite the same, no self esteem, abuse during childhood, sexual abuse, trying to be the perfect child, trying to control external forces, trying to get attention.... variations of all these and more.

The society of airbrushed models who are not perfection into "perfection" is deceitful and damaging to the whole of us.
BUt most of all it usually comes down to parents who should never have been parents in the first place or who had very little parenting skills. People make mistakes that is human and my the grace of the universe we can learn from them so we can let them go.... otherwise we suffer.... the sufferings vary, one of them is EDs.
