Question
My name is Deanna.  I have been dealing with eating problems for a long time now. I go through phases where i will run 10 miles every day, binge and purge, or just not eat.  I feel really weak when i do all of these things so i decided i would just eat 800 calories a day of vegetables and broths with maybe a slice of meat or something.  I don't think I'm over weight, i just want to be really skinny.  I weigh 107 and an 5'5".  My main big concern is that i am breaking out really bad.  I have small bumps that are on my forehead and cheek areas.  I don't understand why i am getting them. I am in school for aesthetics's so skin is obviously really important to me.  Could this be the cause of a minor eating disorder or something else? Is there any way that I can fix the problem without changing my eating habits if it is what is causing the breakout.  Thank you!

Answer
Acne can be a problem related with eating disorders. Wash your fash int he morning and at night with a mild soap. Try to keep your hands away from your face during the day because oils from your hands can often be transferred to the face. You may have also had a hormonal change which could be causing the problems with acne
