Question
i gained about 3 stone in recovery going from 6 1/2 to 9 1 at 5'6- i think this is too much, i got so scared about two weeks ago so started excercising like mad and eating less ive managed to get to 8 1 in just those 2 weeks it this to fast?

Answer
Far too fast!

A lot of the weight you may have lost will be water weight rather than real weight, but this is still to much!

Are you with a team in recovery, or did you do this alone?  If you have a team, you need to tell them all this and get them to re-look your meal plans and help you get through this potential relapse!  If you don't have help, you should really think about getting someone!  You should go to your Dr and ask for a referral to someone, or even make enquiries yourself.

Please look at trying to get help with this.  The weight loss may seem great, but in the long run, is definitely not worth it!

All the best

Expertise

I am a medical student and have suffered from anorexia and bulimia myself, I am willing to answer questions based on my own experiences. My advice, however, should not be used as a substitute for that of a qualified medical professional.

Experience

I suffered from anorexia from the age of about 10. By the age of 13 I was suffering from bulimia. Now after 10 years of suffering from an eating disorder, I feel that I can say that I'm well on my way with recovery and would just like to be able to share what I have learned with those in similar situations!
