Anorexia/Eating Disorders/I need help

Question
Hello...
I need help.  My sister in law has recently shared with me that she is anorexic/bulemic.  I am very concerned for her, as she has 3 small children.  I suspect that her behavior has been going on for more that 3 years.  I have already lost one friend to bulemia, and I don't  want to loose my sis in law too!!  She lives in a different state, and has no health insurance.  Is there any free help out there?  If so, where? And how do you suggest I get her the information without her getting upset?
Awaiting your answer...
Thanks for listening...
Marli

Answer
Aloha, Free help would be in the way of on line counseling that we do here, there are chat rooms for ED's but you have to be careful because some actually promote anorexia.
We have one of the most affordable and successful programs going... http://eating-disorder-recovery.com is our site.
You can get free help from some large medical programs but they require a long commitment for research purposes and if you leave early you have to pay them and they are not cheap.
We have some excellent tips on self help recovery at our site too.
ED's are serious and you are right in being concerned. Does she live in a big city, near a university? they sometimes have ED group sessions.
Let me know if any of this helps. I wish you and her all the luck the angels will give you. ALoha Keala
