Question
Im 16, male, 5 foot 10, 110lbs. I'm really underweight and have been for almost my whole life. At birth i was average weight but, due to an extremely fast metabolism, ive been super skinny. I regret not trying to fix this before but i cant talk it anymore, i get judged by everyone. friends, strangers, even family make jokes or embarassing comments about my weight and it has to stop. Is there any way i could slow my metabolism?

Answer
Jason, I'm going to let someone else answer this for you. Someone who has lived it - experiencing the same thing ok?
 It's my son

Hello Jason, I hope I can help you with this even though I can't really give you a cure. I was also always thin and people used to ride me about it all the time. I did everything I thought would help. I ate all the time, stuffed myself with milkshakes, candy, bread, pasta, bought all the health store crap - by the way - don't waste your money no matter what they tell you.
Sometimes I could get my weight up by a few pounds, but it always went away, no matter what I did.
I tried weight lifting to try to bulk up and maybe this will work for you, but it wasn't my thing. I couldn't understand why anyone would spend that much time in a gym.
I wore big clothes, but this only made me look thinner.
The answer is that nothing will slow your metabolism, but let me say this: You will eventually appreciate it and all those idiots who are saying things now will be envying YOU later.
Those same fools are big, fat and bald now that I'm in my 30's and I'm still thin and have all my hair. They are constantly on diets and I can still eat anything I want. They look me and want to cry. Of course I can't be cruel or I'd be no better than they were, but it sure makes me feel good anyway just to think it.
I'm probably 15 lbs heavier than I was at your age, but still flat abs.

You can try to bulk up a bit with milkshakes or protein drinks in between meals, eat about a cup of dried fruits every day - any kind is ok, but no more than this or you'll have bowel problems - keep up the protein in the forms of chicken/fish over red meat since that just takes up too much room and takes too long to digest. Avoid the bad stuff like fats from animal sources (butter, bacon fat, etc).
And time my friend. I know it doesn't seem to help right now, but it does pass and you'll come out on top.

I also spent a lot of time away from the jerks who had diarrhea of the mouth. I got into volunteering at the local youth center and did stuff for a nature preserve.

Expertise

I have lived it and survived it. I know every excuse, reason, thought, feeling and rationalization - and I'm going to be very honest in my advice.

Experience

I've lost (& gained)HUNDREDS of lbs over a lifetime, more than 30 years of "professional dieting". Presently a counselor for sufferers of eating disorders, a nutritional advisor and spiritual counselor (Reverend, doctor); I've been on every diet there is and used the most bizarre weight loss products you can imagine. I am FORMERLY obese, anorexic (several times), bulimic MOST of the time - and maintaining size 4, with no gimmicks, devices, programs, pills or supplements.

I currently investigate the diet industry on behalf of consumers who do not need to be ripped off while struggling to be healthy. I WILL expose them all and I WON'T be intimidated, bullied or bought. My advice is for cost-free options. I have nothing whatsoever to gain from my recommendation(s). I make no money from my website and I sell, promote, endorse NO diet/health products, programs or devices. You'll also never see me on the receiving end of a hidden camera report...but you can be assured, I won't quit until I've exposed those who are out to take advantage of you.

It's a matter of choices. We need to stop complicating things.
