QuestionHow long would you have had to suffer with anorexia for it to affect your teeth?
AnswerI see that you rated me very low. I apologize if I did not answer your question the way you expected. But health problems associated with eating disorders is very individualized... it all depends on what types of foods you are taking in, at what age you suffered, etc. Different vitamins and minerals are more essential at certain times in your life for teeth health- like flouride (do you remember taking flouride tablets when you were in grade school). Vitamin D is always essential for teeth health. Depending on the foods you eat, or drink, you could be doing damage to your teeth... teas, coffees, sodas... not only will the coffee's and teas stain your teeth, but the phosphoric acid in soda will break down the enamel and the sugar will cause cavities if you don't take care of your teeth otherwise. This information would be important to you in that most people with eating disorders fill up on non-calorie food and drink items, such as coffee, tea, and diet soda. I hope this provides you with more information... I'm sorry I can't give you an exact timeline for what will happen to teeth and when it will happen...
