Question
Should a American man have to pay child support in this case yes or no? He got a Belgium women pregnant in a one night stand while in Belgium. Under US and Belgium Law he does not have to pay child support becase there is no child support treaty with the USA.
Answer
If he is even aware of the child t hen he may feel compelled to support the child but as in the other case, it is the woman's responsibility to control her reproductive capacity. If she chose to become pregnant in a one night stand, then it is her responsibility. Again, if she is underage, then there could be a rape charge.
