There are many books and internet sites which can be found on line.  If you go to www.google.com and put in archaeological sites of ________(put in city, country, culture, etc...) and it will bring up scores of sites to look at.  For instance if you put in "archaeological sites of ancient Egypt" you will find many things about Ancient Egypt.  Or if instead you put in Mesopotamia, many articles on Babylon will come up.  There are so many sites world wide you will need to focus on the culture you are interested in.
