Antique Clocks - Grandfather Clock

Expert: Kenneth Saunders - 4/26/2008

Question
I have a Tempus Fugit grandfather clock and it allways loses time, i have tryed to move the pendulum up & down
but it dose do anything it still loses time.
Regards
NEIL

Answer
in mechanical clocks (not battery run) with weights or with springs driving the clock, moving the round swinging pendulum disk UP by tightening the nut under the bottom of the disk WILL SPEED THE CLOCK UP. Mark the rod above the disk to be sure it is moving up when you make your adjustments- and write down what you did in a log so you don't forget what you did the time before.
