Subject: Seth Thomas Mantle Clock
Question I'm in possession of an antique mantle clock made by Clock Maker Seth Thomas. I have not been able to find one like this, it has what could be a hexagon or octagon top. Features roman numerals. On the inside it's stamped: "E Plurbis Unum" Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Connecticut, Warranted Good. It's Key wound. On the back of the clock it's engraved with numbers and initials: 1/11/121/a.h. It also has a faded sticker that reads, From C.R. Smith & Sons Clock Store 1700 Market Street Philadelphia, PA. I would like to know how old the clock is. Thank you for your help.
Answer without a photo I can't do much - it was made after 1865 because Thomaston CT did not exist till then when the state legislature changed the name from Plymouth Hollow.
does it look like this:

if you have the time or a faster connection than me you can run through the photos here- putting your cursor over the little photos will give you some info as to dates.
