Question
hI have a non running cuckoo clock that i want to sell. How can I tell if it's a 1 day or 8 day movement?
thanks

Answer
the weights on a 1 day are about 4" long and less than 3/4 of a pound- about dog turd size.
the weights on an 8 day are 7" long, over 3 pounds and you would not want to meet what they came from.

1 day:http://www.clock-keys.com/CART/images/14427.jpg

8 day:http://www.clock-keys.com/CART/images/14428.jpg

8 day is bigger and has two big gears sticking out the bottom to give the extra 8-1 ratio of run time.

Regula movements are #25 for the 1 day and #34 for the 8 day
Hubert Herr movements are #60 for the 1 day and #80 for the 8 day
