Question
Some one is selling a Bachmaier & Klemmer Cuckoo clock that says [Made in Germany - "U.S. Zone"].  What does US Zone mean?

After World War 2 Germany was occupied by four countries. The US...United States occupied West Germany.

A cautionary note, this is a very old cuckoo. In my experience used clocks particularly cuckoos are sold when they become worn to the point that they need  an overhaul in order to run again.
