Question
QUESTION: Hello - I inherited this cabinet from my mother-in-law who received it from her parents. The family has always referred to it as a "liquor cabinet". It may be some sort of serving piece, as the back is hinged and drops open. I have been unable to find any information or even something similar, so any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.
ANSWER: please show a picture with "the back hinged and drops open"

QUESTION: Here is the back, opened. I also found a "Made in Belgium" marked in the wood, and a tag attached that says "Hecht Co, Washington DC"
Answeri thought it may be european but wasnt sure. i was going to ask if there were any markings or labels.
it appears to be from the 1930s. the only things i have seen that have backs like this were cabinets that held radios.
give me some time to do some research to see if i can find anything similar. it may take some time as european is not as familiar to me as American pieces.
