|Comment||Thank you. I researched the company previously. NC brothers, etc. Pretty interesting to me as my father worked for Stanley Furniture in West End, NC for 34 years. I pretty much grew up with lathes and sawdust. I remember celebrating their centennial as a child and have fond memories of visiting the plant before it was dismantled and moved to Asia. It is mahogany, as you guessed. I debated on staining it but it does have the veneer damage...I've refinished it in a soft cream but retained the patina on the original hardware. Thanks again.|
