Antique Musical Instruments/Lyons Monarch trumpet

Question
I just bought a Lyons Monarch trumpet, sn 26278 (Chicago, IL).  I'm having trouble finding out any information about it on all the usual sites.  Any knowledge on when the "Monarch" became part of the Lyons company?  Or when this trumpet might have been made?  Or what type of trumpet it might be, whether student, intermediate, or professional?

Answer
I believe that Monarch was simply a tradename for the Lyons Company.  I  believe that the Lyons company was aimed at the student market.  Lyons imported some of their products from the Czech Republic and some were reportedly Conn stencils.  The company was started 1928 and their assets were purchased by Selmer in 1970.

Expertise

Please note: My area is BRASS instruments, not other wind, string or percussion instruments. I will provide information on antique, obscure and out of production BRASS instruments. 1) Please don't ask for evaluations, I'll not provide them on this site. 2) I am often asked very similar questions, so I'd invite you to first check on Horn-u-Copia.net. Much of the information I have garnered about this topic, I have posted on this WEB site.

Experience

I perform in several historical bands, have informally researched the area, repair brass instruments, and operate a Forum dedicated to the topic at http://horn-u-copia.net
