Antique Musical Instruments/antique trumpet

Question
I have a silver trumpet marked "Bachman Perfected" patented July 1910 #15189
which says it is handmade with a clear #1 after "handmade".  It was puchased in
a pawn shop in Chicago in the early 1960's.  My question is: who make it
(manufacturer) and is the Bachman name a reference to Harold Bachman?

Answer
The few references I find to the name that sounds, Bachman; were all spelled with a double 'n'.  York, Vega and Kenny all had patents issued in July of 1910.  So, they would possibly be the place to start to see if their instruments, look similar.

Expertise

Please note: My area is BRASS instruments, not other wind, string or percussion instruments. I will provide information on antique, obscure and out of production BRASS instruments. 1) Please don't ask for evaluations, I'll not provide them on this site. 2) I am often asked very similar questions, so I'd invite you to first check on Horn-u-Copia.net. Much of the information I have garnered about this topic, I have posted on this WEB site.

Experience

I perform in several historical bands, have informally researched the area, repair brass instruments, and operate a Forum dedicated to the topic at http://horn-u-copia.net
