Antique Musical Instruments/Vintage Cornet

Question
I have a vintage french shepherd's crook cornet (pre 1900) with beautiful engraving that is marked "Association Generale des Ouviers Tacteurs d'instruments de Musique", 81 Rue St. Maur, Paris.
It is in magnificent shape; no scratches, dents, or dings. Can you shed any light on the maker?  I know it was a workshop collaborative of skilled instrument makers.
But very little is out there about this venture.

Answer
The information I have is:  The ASSOCIATION GENERALE workshop was founded in 1865 with Neudin and Sudre as directors. The goal, according to Langwill, "... a kind of workers co-operative set up by 33 artisians with the object of permitting reduction of daily working hours from 12 to 10..." By 1883, they had a workforce of 80.  It appears that that moved to 81 St. Maur St. in 1885.  The company was absorbed by Couesnon in 1905.

Expertise

Please note: My area is BRASS instruments, not other wind, string or percussion instruments. I will provide information on antique, obscure and out of production BRASS instruments. 1) Please don't ask for evaluations, I'll not provide them on this site. 2) I am often asked very similar questions, so I'd invite you to first check on Horn-u-Copia.net. Much of the information I have garnered about this topic, I have posted on this WEB site.

Experience

I perform in several historical bands, have informally researched the area, repair brass instruments, and operate a Forum dedicated to the topic at http://horn-u-copia.net
