Antique Musical Instruments/Conover

Question
A friend of mine has a Conover upright he is willing to let go of. I have a recording studio with a Yamaha grand but would be nice to have an extra piano around. I know the market for organs and uprights is not that hot, but I was wondering if his model might be worth fixing or perhaps worth anything?

I don't know to much about it other than it was manufactured at The Cable Co. Chicago, it is a beautiful Conover and the #192021. The year on the frame states 1885, but I'm not sure if that is the patent?

I would appreciate if I could at least know the year, unless it's 1920-21, then it would make sense. Or perhaps ivory keys? Any little bit would help. Unfortunately I don't have pictures at this time.

Thanks Todd,

Dan
