Question
I have an Ivers %26 Pond (Boston) Baby Grand 5'6" Serial # 24886 (manufactured around 1900-1905?).

I am considering restoring the piano (finish has sun damage and it has not likely been played in years). It likely needs to be refinished and rebuilt (Mahogany?).

Would it be worth restoring?

Answer
Hi,

Thank you for using allexperts.

Ivers and Pond is a fantastic brand of piano, probably top five. It would especially be worth restoring if you were going to be using the piano for your own. Very fine instrument.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
