Antique Musical Instruments/Kimball Piano

Question
I am looking at a used Kimball Piano for $795.  It's number is written in pen inside the back. The number is 856053. Can you tell me how old it is?
It also has a label that says :Schwander by Kimball.  Can you tell me what that means?
It also says, "Kimball's exclusive mezzo thermoneal stabilizer to insure unsurpassed tonal stability."  It is out of tune in the music store.
I like the action and tone of the keys, but before I spend the money, I am wondering if this piano may go out of tune a lot and would not be a good purchase.

Answer
Hi Marie,
Thank you for using allexperts.  It was built in 1973.  Since its not that old, it should still hold a tune for awhile.  It may be best to have a local piano technician to assess it before you buy.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
