Antique Musical Instruments/How do I find out who made my piano?

Question

Upright Piano
We recently acquired a second hand piano that has
been rebuilt.  We have taken off the top of the
piano and also the front face of the piano and can
find no sticker anywhere.  The name on the piano is
Tattersdill, but the inside has D. Tattersdill.  The
letters have obviously been applied by the person
who rebuilt the piano.  The only thing we could find
was the serial number.  125876 was the serial.
Where else could we look to find out the original
make and model of the piano?

Answer
Hi,
Thank you for using allexperts.  If you open up the inside where the strings and harp are located, can you email me a photo to contact@lindebladpiano.com and I'll see if I can figure it out.  I cant tell by the serial number. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
Todd Lindeblad
