Expert: Todd Lindeblad - 2/18/2010

Question
I have a Fischer upright piano with a number of 114695.  I was wondering if you can tell me the age of the piano.  It does have  and inscription hand-written on the inside metal frame with a name, K.W. Daniels, an address and several dates (May 20, 1930 -35).

The finish is ok, but I'm thinking I should have it re-finished.  Several keys need replaced, and it's in need of tuning.  Is it worth all of the work to fix it up?

Your piano was manufactured in 1899, definitely worth restoring. It is a fine, hand-crafted piano from a fantastic vintage.
