Antique Musical Instruments/brass trumpet

Question
I obtained a brass trumpet many years ago which I have some historical knowledge about. I plan to sell this instrument in the near future and would appreciate any additional information.
The seriel number is 354613 and 44b is inscribed on the upper tube. Based on this information can you tell me if this is considered an antique or can you provide any historical information ?

Answer
This horn was made in 1943.  I think it is a Conn-queror, although I don't see a 44B on the Conn Loyalist list for Conn, only an earlier Pan American Lyric.  I wouldn't consider a horn from the 1940s as an antique, but that is subjective.  There is no clear definition on what constitutes an antique.

Expertise

Please note: My area is BRASS instruments, not other wind, string or percussion instruments. I will provide information on antique, obscure and out of production BRASS instruments. 1) Please don't ask for evaluations, I'll not provide them on this site. 2) I am often asked very similar questions, so I'd invite you to first check on Horn-u-Copia.net. Much of the information I have garnered about this topic, I have posted on this WEB site.

Experience

I perform in several historical bands, have informally researched the area, repair brass instruments, and operate a Forum dedicated to the topic at http://horn-u-copia.net
