Antique Musical Instruments/Kenwood Piano

Question
I have an old upright "Kenwood" piano that I have been searching for months now to find out the age of. Serial number is 28840. Another number found on the piano was 205 though I'm not sure what it means. Also, on the piano are the words "Cash Buyer's Union" and "Chicago, Ill.". I assume it was made here.? And sold by Cash Buyer's Union.? Simply curious about the age mostly, but anything you could tell me would be appreciated. My mother passed it to me, and she received it from a close friend of the family many years ago. Doesn't play well anymore. Some hammers broke and was going to get rid of it. Would like to know its history before parting with such a long time family friend. lol

Answer
Hi,

Thank you for using allexperts.

I searched the piano atlas to date it but unfortunately this brand does not offer serial numbers to date the piano. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
