Question
QUESTION: Hi. Can you please provide me with the estimated value of a Wm. Knabe & Co baby grand piano?  It has a bench, 88 keys, and is 5'2" long with three pedals.  The serial number is S5243 and I was told that the piano was made in 1916.  Thank you for your time.  I look forward to hearing from you.

ANSWER: Hi,

Thank you for using allexperts.

Knabe is a great brand piano with a quality, rich sound. In our current economic and musical climate, we estimate the value of your piano to be at around $5,000-10,000. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

QUESTION: Thank you for your response. I misspoke. The mentioned piano is a grand
piano, not baby grand. Does that make a difference in the estimated
value?  Thank you!

Answer
Hi,

Thank you for using allexperts.

Yes, the grand's are larger than the baby grand. It's probably worth between 8,000-12,000. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
