Antique Musical Instruments/instrument

Question
I'm looking for the age of an instrument I have. It's engraved with an etched name Karl Schubert. I have found some information on-line but I can't find an age. It's a trumpet sold by JW Jenkins' Sons out of Kansas City Mo. It's a Czechoslovakian import. I would just like to know how old it is and if all instruments were etched with his name.

Answer
It appears that Jenkins used the Schubert name in the 1920s and 30s.  It was a tradename, not an actual maker.  Jenkins used a variety of names on his instruments in addition to Schubert.  All of the engravings of the Karl Schubert instruments that I have seen, simply say "Karl Schubert".

Expertise

Please note: My area is BRASS instruments, not other wind, string or percussion instruments. I will provide information on antique, obscure and out of production BRASS instruments. 1) Please don't ask for evaluations, I'll not provide them on this site. 2) I am often asked very similar questions, so I'd invite you to first check on Horn-u-Copia.net. Much of the information I have garnered about this topic, I have posted on this WEB site.

Experience

I perform in several historical bands, have informally researched the area, repair brass instruments, and operate a Forum dedicated to the topic at http://horn-u-copia.net
