Antique Musical Instruments/age and worth of buescher flute

I have a buescher flute with a wooden mouth piece and a metal body. It is stamped #279, I looked on the web their chart starts at 5000 due to afire in 1909 that destroyed their records.  It has stamped "new howe model" on the body, is the body silver or just silver plated. Can you give any information on it? Thank you.

Hello and thank you for writing! We actually sold one of these flutes in 2014! Off the top of our heads we recall those flutes being produced around the 1930s to 1950s or so. As for value, the one we sold in need of new pads sold on eBay for over $500. We are trying to search our records to find a more accuract ballpark price for you but cannot find it at the moment. Hope this helps! Best of luck! ModernFlute
