Question
Can you tell me anything about an old buffet clarinet, serial number M219. It has a curved octave key with the hole on top also has "forked Bb" that is a donut pad on the middle hole in the top section.  I know it was made in 1898 but nothing more.

Answer
Hello and thank you for writing! From what you're saying about your clarinet it sounds like a possible full Boehm system with the donut A/D key? Can you send some photos to us at info@modernflute.com OR via allexperts.com as a response to our response? Looking forward to figuring out all of the specs of your clarinet for you to help you become more informed! Best wishes! ModernFlute
