Question
Do you know the extend, or how long, or when the Marceau Trombone was manufactured in Czech.? I am trying to date an instrument that is being sold on EBAY. Thanks.
Without a complete set of Sears catalogs I can't give you an exact range but in the 1897 catalog there is no mention of Marceau, but there is in the 1908 catalog. They are stil advertised in the 1937 catalog, but no mention in 1956. Marceau was simply a tradename used by Sears for Czech made instruments.
