Antique Musical Instruments/Sax

QuestionI am sorry Mr. Scott, I was unaware that you had answered this question...I haven't asked anything regarding the Carl Fischer, my previous questions were not in regards to a trumpet but a Holton Sax. I am sorry that you thought you had answered it already, you may have but not to me so I wasn't aware of it. My deepest appology for wasting your time on the question. Here is a challenge for you then....I have done some research myself and cant locate anything regarding a BELMONT ALTO SAX and cant find anything....only stands and other accesories that are Belmont....no instruments. It has a serial number on it 702314 but no other markings that I see other than the name BELMONT on the bell.

-----Question-----
Could the extra numbers be the first 3 numbers as like on the H.C. that is being sold on Ebay? Is there certain numbers such as 566 as a model number and the serial number would be 317056 ?

-----Question-----
We have an Holton Collegiate Sax with what is believed to be a serial number of 566317056. I was looking at some H.C. on Ebay #170042543396 and was wondering if a sax would have the serial number and a 3 digit number that is a model number? Thanks for the help!
-----Answer-----
Looks like too many numbers. The Holton list I have has numbers with no more than 6 digits.

I'm not familiar with saxophone models, so I suppose that could be a possibility. If that were the case, then your horn would have been made in 1959.

Hmm, I must have hit the wrong button, I thought I had answered this. We don't have a serial number list for Carl Fischer. So, I can't help with the date.
AnswerAbout thinking I had answered the question about the Fischer. I didn't mean that you had previous asked, I meant that I think I wrote an answer but failed to hit the send button.
There was a F. Belmont in Paris in the 19th century, but I suspect your instrument is a stencil of more recent vintage. But, I don't know any more about it.
