Antique Musical Instruments/clarinet & trumpet

Question
We recently inherited 2 instruments that we would like to sell. Obviously it selling potential would be maximized if we could provide a few details, unfortunately we are "musical instrument challenged." One is a clarient and the only markings are Geo. Bundy (3) on the mouthpiece. Is this an Artly or Buffet, are those terms models or what?
The other is a Conn Director trumpet and the only number I can find is the serial no which doesn't help as I see others that have numbers such as 17B or 22B or even the key such as Bflat. How can one have this info if it never belonged to them? I know with these vague details (or lack of) it may be impossible for you to help, I have photos too if that would clarify anything. Anyway, just thought I'd take a chance and see if you could help in any way. Appreciate your time!

Answer
I don't think that the markings on only the mouthpiece are an indication of anything. Artly and Buffet are brand names, but that does sound like what you have.  I don't think you can say it is any brand.

The Conn Director is a student level instrument.  The model number should be on the mouthpiece receiver.  It is almost certainly a Bb instrument.

Expertise

Please note: My area is BRASS instruments, not other wind, string or percussion instruments. I will provide information on antique, obscure and out of production BRASS instruments. 1) Please don't ask for evaluations, I'll not provide them on this site. 2) I am often asked very similar questions, so I'd invite you to first check on Horn-u-Copia.net. Much of the information I have garnered about this topic, I have posted on this WEB site.

Experience

I perform in several historical bands, have informally researched the area, repair brass instruments, and operate a Forum dedicated to the topic at http://horn-u-copia.net
