Antique Pianos/Hazelton Brothers upright piano

Question
Hello!
My home burned down, and took my vintage 1893 Hazelton Brothers upright piano with it. The piano was in excellent condition, had beautiful hand-carved wood panels and was signed by C. Hansen. Serial #22096. Can you give me an estimate of this beautiful, rare instruments value? The insurance company needs something to go on to reimburse me and I can't find any price guides or antique dealers to help me with this.
Thank you!

Answer
Hi Cheryl,

Thank you for contacting us. So sorry to hear that! I suggest you contact a local RPT (registered piano technician) who can help you out with an approximate value of the piano and other additional information. You can acquire a RPT list at www.pianomart.com. Choose the "recourses" option and then the "find a technician" option, type in your zip code and you can get a list of experts in your area. It is a very helpful recourse for piano owners.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

Sincerely,
Robert Parker
